Melanie Loon is a writer and artist in her native Los Angeles.
I’m a creative co-pilot: helping realize visions and bring home emotional connection through story, whether that’s through writing, design, or art — but most likely all three.
In 2022, I traded my screen time spent on digital illustration to begin painting leather accessories. You’ll find me customizing fashion goods live at in-store events for brands like Clare V. and Sézane.
I love clients who are obsessed with the in-between of being rooted locally with eyes set to explore the world. On occasion I still write and edit stories about women, food, culture and travel.
My background is a true melting pot: editorial, retail, fashion, and humanitarian fundraising. Collaborators call me an ontologist, a secret weapon, and most creatively, a “hipster Bo Jackson.”
I look for listening, universal gut feelings, and cultural blindspots.
